Treat yourself to the pleasure of casual Downeast Dining and
enjoy the panoramic view of Boothbay Harbor's East Side
Waterfront. Our seafood is fresh and the atmosphere friendly.
Locally caught lobster is our specialty. Several hundred
pounds are stored in our sea water tank. You may select your
own from the tank and watch as they are prepared for cooking in our
large outdoor pots. We have all sizes of the tasty shellfish,
from one to four pounds. To those new to lobster, we will
gladly assist on how to best eat them and explain the differences
between hard and soft shell.

The flavor of Maine is further captured in our other
offerings. Stews and chowders are prepared daily from only the
freshest ingredients. The shrimp and scallops we use are
caught in the waters of the Boothbay Region. Clams are also
supplied by local diggers most every day. Our mussels are
grown on a salt water farm in Tenants Harbor. Fish caught in
the North Atlantic are supplied to us from Boothbay Fish
Dealers. We accept only the freshest available. It is
not unusual for us to refuse deliveries that do not meet our quality
standards.

Your Dining-by-the-Sea Experience will be complete only when you've
tasted our homemade pies and tasty treats. Guaranteed second
to none, these delectables will put a pleasurable topping on your meal.

Our open-air dock offers one of the most spectacular views of
Boothbay Harbor's boating and fishing activity. The sunsets
are unparalleled in this downeast setting. Inside seating is
also available with the same great view.

There's always something happening in the harbor. A summer
highlight is "Windjammer Days," a two-day celebration marked by
the schooner fleet sailing into the harbor. There is a street
parade, sprinkled with local flavor, antique boat parade, fireworks, and
numerous other events associated with the festivities.
|
The 4th of July traditionally follows Windjammer Days, and you
can view the extraordinary fireworks from our deck. The
large congregation of boats that assembles to watch the show is
almost as spectacular as the display itself.

The Lobster Dock is built at the former Reed's Shipyard
property. This was the site of a bustling shipyard in the late
1800's and early 1900's. Many huge three- and four-masted
schooners were built here. In later years smaller pleasure
boats were constructed. The yard also boasted three marine
railways that hauled and maintained boats up to 80 feet. The
yard closed its doors in 1978. Today boats are still stored
here in the winter, and there is a small marina for summer dockage.

We hope your visit with us is pleasant and look forward to seeing you
